Kenya A-Z is Part of a Great New Series! November 7, 2004 Lynn Ellingwood (Webster, NY United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Not too long, not too dry, non-fiction and very readable. Remember those horrible non-fiction country books you had to do book reports from in elementary school? Hopefully those dull books are gone forever. This book was so nice and affordable, I bought it from the local bookstore. I may even get the entire series for my classroom.
Beautiful Photography September 21, 2005 Susan Smith (Arkansas, USA) When I bought this book, I was a little unsure if it was a children's book or a travel book! It is a small, beautiful photo essay of Kenya. Be aware, however, that it only covers the "good parts." This isn't a definitive overview of the country. However, it gave us a very realistic idea of what to experience in certain parts of the country. This was a very enjoyable read, and is one we will continue to enjoy for some time to come.
nice book... September 30, 2007 Carma Spence (Santa Rosa, California United States) Nice book -- pretty pictures, well designed. But I still can't really figure out who the "target audience" is -- to grown up for kids; to childish (not child-like) for grown ups. One glance and it's over. Don't waste your money. Save up and buy something by Lonely Planet.
