| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The Baltic states--Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania--are nestled in northeastern Europe, where they lie at a crossroad of European culture. This is the most recent and up-to-date narrative history of the Baltic states, providing readers with an ideal starting point for research on the area. It includes a timeline of major events, biographic sketches of noteworthy historical figures, a glossary, and a bibliographic essay.

| Customer Reviews: Comprehensive.... July 9, 2010 Robert M. Macala (miami beach) Excellent review of a complex region of the world. It's tough living next to
big and egoistic neighbors....but somehow, and it hasn't always been easy, these
plucky Baltic states have retained their identity...I'm using the books for a mini lecture
I'm preparing about this region..
Good detail for a short book. November 11, 2009 Perc A. Everitt Book covers a wide time span with just the right amount of detail. Doesn't read like a textbook.

The product was in excellent shape when I received it. The book looked as if it were new and bought right off the book store shelf.
