It is merely a personal narrative of political experiences, a brief sketch of certain events in a small country as they ap peared to one man who happened to be in a posi tion to follow developments from day to day. What happened in his country is merely an incident in the armageddon of the moment. On the big political chessboard Norway is only a pawn, and for the final outcome of the war the fate of Norway may seem at most a secondary issue.
